Vermont Construction recently completed a 30,000 sq ft. siding project on Burlington’s newest residential housing complex, Cambrian Rise. The team installed fiber cement, vinyl, and metal paneling on the Sunset House. Sunset House at Cambrian Rise will be welcoming new residents in the next few weeks.

From its conception, Cambrian Rise has always been more than just a housing complex. After securing funding in 2019 developers have strived to create a community within a multi-building complex. Residents of Cambrian Rise will have access to green spaces, coffee shops, and even a bank located within the borders of the development.

Cambrian Rise has a completion date of 2029 boasting an incredible 1,055 units made up of renal units and condominiums. Cambrian Rise will also have 17,000 sq ft. of commercial space.
Addressing Vermont’s Housing Crisis
Cambrian Rise is Burlington’s largest housing project to date, developers have committed to including over 200 affordable housing units into the project. Out of the total 1,055 units, there will be 186 affordable apartments and 30 affordable Condominiums.
Vermont has struggled with housing since the pandemic, within the past 5 years Vermont home prices have risen at an extraordinary rate, pricing out generational Vermonters and disincentivizing young professionals to move to the area. Cambrian Rise is addressing this issue head-on, and at Vermont Construction, we are proud to be a part of it.
